First off......Tom is still sick and now so am I. Today I dug in the fridge and found whatever......and I'm making soup because I need soup and I still have not been to the store.....so here goes.... Here's what you need. About 4 big red potatoes, onions, asparagus, cauliflower, garlic, butter, seasonings and a dash of white wine. Chop your potatoes and put them in a pot like your making mash potatoes, add chicken broth instead of water. Let them cook. Chop up a cup of each - asparagus, onions and cauliflower. You can make these as big as you want but I'm cooking for kids and the less recognizable these things are the better eating rate we will have. Chop your garlic, I have the huge monster size garlic and I do 2 cloves of it. (I had to add garlic salt at the end, there's never enough garlic for me). Throw'em in a pan and add a chunk of butter.......cook till softer. Then I threw in a dash of white wine and cooked it for a few more minutes. That ^ smelled so good. Your potatoes should be getting soft by now, add them to the pan now. Fill with water until the water is slightly above everything. Now the water is like water.......and I don't like that. I like a thick sauce, So get you some flour and mix it with water in a cup, like so. Add a few tablespoons and watch the magic. If there is no magic, add more. It's thick, I can eat it like a dip on a cracker, but I didn't, it was too good by it's self. The chickens got the crackers. Add a little cheese (if you like) and ENJOY! IN YO FACE MOM! She was here and told me it was gonna taste like poop but it doesn't and now she can't have any. My poor sick onion boy, he filled this box with onions and I kicked it while walking with my soup. I think he's trying to kill me.

Have I told ya'll about my 3 favorite food groups? Salty, crunchy and greasy. This one is going to land in all 3! First I must say that Tom has been sick, the truck has been in the shop and I have not made it town this week so I am kinda just throwing things together all week. These are not meals, meals have a meat and 2 sides, these are snacks and I like snacks because I am always hungry. I asked my husband before I cooked if he wanted some and he says "I just ate chili an hour ago" Well, me too............but I'm hungry again. I need to clean and thinking about cleaning makes me hungry......then fat and miserable. No wonder my house is dirty. Once again this will be super simple! You need bacon, eggs (because you can put a fried egg on anything!) cheese (you can put cheese on everything too...) and tater tots. Oh did I forget to mention I'm a child in a adult body? I fired the tater tots and bacon together, less dishes is always better. I fired my egg in my "egg pan" at the same time. Everything will be done about the same time, throw it all together in one heap of greasy, salty, cheesy heart attack waiting to happen pile. Enjoy! It was awesome, I think I'll take a nap. I promise one day I will put a real meal on here, I just have not made one lately.............oh give me a break!! It was Thanksgiving week and Tom is sick! I'm living off Aunt Patti's pumpkin roll and that's fine by me!
This is so simple I feel kinda goofy making a how-to but I want to expand the site and it was delicious. I have a abundance of eggs so any egg-recipe is always welcome. Here's what ya need! First I toasted my bread in the pan with a dollop of butter, you can use a toaster, I just don't have one..........so I can't. Lay your bread on the plate, cover with spinach and tomatoes. Next fry up some eggs and whop'em on top. Add raw onions and cheese. I know that was easy.......but maybe you never thought of it before, that's why it's here. Enjoy! I will add that this actually filled me up. Normally when I decide to "eat healthy" I can never get full. I was pleasantly surprised because my favorite foods are fat, butter and salt. And crunchy......I like crunchy too.
Another tip, I was cooking for just myself and when I shred the cheese I use my potato peeler, I can knock off just enough for me and I don't have to clean a dang cheese grater. |
